A Brown Soun Hempcone Speakers

Is There Anything Hemp Can't Do Better?

The cool and interesting uses for hemp never cease to amaze. It ain't all about those wrinkly beige drawstring pants anymore. As Tone Tubby has ably demonstrated, hemp also makes for kickass speaker cone material. According to the folks at A Brown Soun, the basic difference between hemp and paper cone is that the Hempcones have more of that elusive "tone" that guitar players are endlessly twaddling on about - more overall highs, lows and mids with none of the harshness associated with regular paper cones. It also takes alot of power to smoke this hemp - apparently the Hempcone increases power-handling ability to nearly double that of it's paper wrapped brethern. Available in 10" and 12" versions, with 15" coming soon.
